It’s time to brush again! Frank Bürsten GmbH is making waves with its efficiently manufactured shoe brushes—and not just on the dance floor. These high-quality brushes are increasingly making their way into the sneaker market. Frank Bürsten manufactures for brands such as Snipes, Lacoste, and Adidas, relying on modern technology combined with Black Forest ingenuity. “The trend toward white sneakers practically calls for a brush,” emphasizes Marketing Director Katharina Hackner with a wink. Frank Bürsten is riding this wave and now manufactures efficient sneaker brushes for many brands. The brush factory focuses not only on modern manufacturing but also on sustainability. The company on Tunauer Straße has long used renewable energy sources such as hydropower and photovoltaics. For the past five years, it has also been feeding heat generated from wood chips into the Schönau local heating network. “When you’ve grown up as an entrepreneur in the Black Forest, issues like nature and the climate are naturally important to you. We’ve been producing CO2-neutrally for years!” explains Managing Director Stefan Ganzmann. With 45 employees, Frank Bürsten manufactures approximately 8 million brushes per year.
